Sean Healy proudly presents a night with some of the Bay area’s best unsigned indie bands, featuring CD release show from Steer the Stars, nominee for best SF artist of the month by the Delimag.com. With haunting melodies, dreamy synthesizers, lush vocal harmonies, and insightful songwriting, they recall a Joshua Tree or Pink Floyd style of sincere Americana, while sculpting a completely new sound with uncannily unique arrangements.
Joining them is a set from San Francisco indie rock darlings, Handshake (http://handshake.bandcamp.com) a band whose professional and thoughtful sound proves the DIY method is as valuable as any in today’s music industry. Also performing is Debbie Neigher (http://debbieneigher.com/), whose self-titled debut, produced by John Vanderslice, has been featured on AOL Spinner, Under the Radar, and the San Francisco Chronicle hails it as “…a lush, beautifully scored album on par with those of her personal icons Regina Spektor and Fiona Apple.”
Arrive at 9pm to catch Neigher, Handshake, and Steering the Stars, or arrive at 7pm (dinner is available!) and also catch a set from the funky St. Valentinez, and power pop rockers Cheating Daylight. Tickets are available at the door or support these local bands by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org to purchase advance tickets directly from the artists.
