Unlikely Heroes is an alternative band from San Francisco, Ca. This eclectic group is synthesizing Hip-Hop/Punk/Rock/Indie jams with beats and melodies that are fresh, exciting, and long waited for. Boasting with high energy, venue rocking jams, they also find balance with spacey, vibe-y anthems to create a well-rounded experience and depth in their art form. These Heroes truly cater to their “more than meets the eye” appeal. Aesthetically, they are a diverse group with a range of cultural and musical backgrounds. Sonically, they are insane Hip-Rockers that can cater to any crowd or venue without losing their star power in translation.
Serf & James
Serf and James met during try-outs for a musical called "Kiss Me Kate," in Napa. Some sort of magic happened during that time, between rehearsals and open mics. Now, nearly ten years later, they found their way back to basics, writing heartfelt songs of love lost and dreams that never seemed too far off. Serf and James began working together at Jamba Juice, practicing after-hours in the back of Serf's old Chevy S-10 pickup truck. Navigating through their early twenties together, the SJ songs trace their formative years' escapades. To this day you can still find them around town, singing on park benches and parking lots. Keep your eyes and ears peeled, and feel free to say hello.

The Other Tones
Not quite Rock or Indie, just outside of Hip Hop and around the corner from Country are The Other Tones; a quartet that originated and developed in the belly of San Francisco’s underground music scene. Founding members bassist/vocalist Chris Locs (Vinyl Spectrum, Plastic Villains) and guitarist Jaemi Fortier (Trixie and the Skates) are joined by the heavy hitting Brian Davy on drums (Brasil, Hafner). Formerly a power trio, the newest incarnation of the band also includes the addition of vocalist/guitarist Joel Simon. With a new catalogue of songs, the band has most recently recorded w/ producer Scott McDowell at Studio C in SF and will release their new single, “Spin Town” in July 2017.
