The Riptide is a bar in the Outer Sunset that has been beloved since its first delicious, sea-foamy beer. It’s a place that has a swell of regulars, and makes strangers into friends nightly. This past month, The Riptide was devastated by a two-alarm fire that gutted the building. In an area that’s mostly ocean waves and succulent gardens, The Riptide has been the anchor for a community of musicians, artists, genuinely Sunset folks to come together and evolve. Please join us in helping in the efforts to ‘Rebuild the Riptide’ through this Benefit Concert! Featuring Red Meat, Pine Box Boys, & Nickel Slots!
On this night, we will also be holding The Riptide’s Annual SFFD Toy Drive! Please bring toys to donate to the Fire Department of San Francisco : “The San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program believes that no child should be without a toy during the holiday season. In time of loss due to fire, our firefighters are the ones who see first-hand, the devastation when a child is left without a favorite toy. Donations of toys are graciously accepted throughout the year at any San Francisco firehouse.”
Toy Guidelines- toys must be unwrapped, we serve ages infant through 12. Our biggest need is girls, ages 8 through 12. Some ideas are sports equipment, ball, art and crafts, games.
Let’s celebrate the bar we love so dearly, help to bring it back to life again, and bring some toys to kids of SF!
